What are global pricing settings?
Cakenote has a bunch of different components, that need to be priced differently depending on their nature. For example, ribbons may be priced per metre, and deliveries may be priced per km. The global pricing settings allows you to set up
different pricing that can be used in other place throughout Cakenote.

Why global pricing?

Decorations, Construction, 3D Cakes, Surface Decor, Textiles and Ribbons all have their own Pricing Settings that can be set individually. Click here to learn more about Pricing Settings on Elements

Global pricing however, makes it possible for many elements to use the one single pricing arrangement. So if one day you decide to raise or lower your price for something, you only need to change it in one place. Here's one example of how this works...

Let's say you have 10 Recipe flavours that you want to price exactly the same. You can create a Flavour pricing group called 'Simple Flavours', and price it at $5 Per Portion. Then you can apply the 'Simple Flavours' pricing group to all 10 Recipes. Now if you want to make all 10 flavour recipes $6 Per Portion, all you have to do is adjust the pricing group, instead of adjusting each Recipe one by one. Easy right!

How to get to global pricing settings?
If you click on the cog wheel icon in the top right corner of the app, you will be taken to your Cakenote Settings page. From the sub menu on the left, click on Pricing and you will then see your global pricing settings.
